The True Story Behind Danny Devito as a Terminator
Danny Devito really was almost a Terminator. After the success of the 1988 film Twins with the real Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, there were discussions between Devito, James Cameron and William Wisher. Before Robert Patrick was selected for the role of T-1000, in Terminator 2, Devito was up for the part. T2 was to be a more of an action comedy, similar to what Cameron would later do wtih True Lies. This take on the Terminator franchise never came to be though, since Devito reportedly took the part of villain too seriously and Cameron felt he couldn't pull off the role. At least this is what I heard from a friend of a friend. Keep it between you and me okay?
